Rehabilitation

Grandma is now able to speak some audible words, so communication is getting better. She has expressed her desire to get out of bed, but the doctor is saying it's physically not possible right now. She cannot sit up, so she is still lying in bed all day and has to be moved every few hours. Upon discharge, she will not be able to sit in a wheelchair- she will still have to be lying down. The physical therapy and acupuncture will start today, but the doctor does not seem hopeful. He thinks recovery will be extremely slow, and does not think Grandma will be able to sit up or eat solid food anytime soon.

Grandma will probably stay in the hospital for one more week, and then move home where she will be under the supervision of a caretaker, 24 hours a day. Please continue to pray for her recovery. The doctors are not hopeful for a quick and full recovery, but we hope and trust in the one true God, the Almighty Healer. With God, all things are possible.

Mark 10:27 (NIV):
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
